- Did you follow the election?
- I didn’t watch it because my cat had an incident.

Ever seen a poodle cat?
The cats’ signature curly fur is caused by a dominant trait, and their ancestry can be traced back to a single cat from Montana.

It was such a surreal moment having spent the day celebrating the King of Thailand’s birthday in Bangkok and then reading about it the next day in the newspaper, on the tube in London.
During my stay in Thailand I visited Bangkok twice (6th-11th November and 2nd-5th December). I think I was extremely lucky when picking these times to visit Bangkok, as in November I got to see the Prince of Thailand take part in a parade down the river opposite the Grand Palace. And when I was there in December it was the King of Thailand’s birthday (5th December). It’s really lovely to see how much love Thai people have for there royal family.
I had no idea about the Prince visiting Bangkok and was only in the area to visit the Grand Palace, when a man came up to me and said ‘You will see something beautiful over there’ and pointed me in the direction of the parade. Many people were climbing over walls trying to get a glimpse of the Prince and many stalls had the parade played on TV’s.
I couldn’t think of a better way to end my stay in Thailand then on the Kings birthday. Everyone was celebrating and so happy, I stepped outside my hostel in the morning to see everyone in the shoe shop opposite having a party outside. They shouted me over and gave me free ice cream!
Such friendly people, will definitely be paying Thailand another visit one day.
